- Join Liverpool John Moores University and CY2 to hear how an extension to the course catalog in Campus Solutions 9.0 improved processes, rationalised systems, introduced CS to LJMU and Self-Service to our staff.
Ernst La Haye, CY2
Join Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and CY2 to hear about our exciting extension to the course catalog in Campus Solutions 9.0. MODCAT is a tool to support the development and quality approval process for new courses, built in response to a significant initiative to restructure our undergraduate curriculum, scheduled to coincide with our go-live!
MODCAT is ambitious – it has been built within Faculty Self-Service so that academic staff, not administrators, develop the courses; University deadlines are built in, enforcing compliance; workflow ensures only appropriate staff have access to approve/reject/amend courses; it is flexible enough to accommodate ever-evolving validation/approval requirements – individual fields are flagged as required for submission or not and also flagged as available for amendment within session/term/ever; final approval triggers population of core Course Catalog tables.
How does it work? Sign up and we might just let the (MOD)CAT out of the bag…

- AAWS
Mike Kennedy, Applied Business Metrics.
Recently delivered for Campus Solutions Release 9.0, the Admissions Application Web Service (AAWS) is the foundation for integrating external admission application and prospect data. Whether it be through a online web based interface or a bulk file, this feature promises to reduce the amount of custom code at any university. We'll examine the flexibility of the web service, examine the setup and configuration of applicant and prospect creation, managing and loading staged data, data update rules, user-defined extensions, and entities like attachments that are exposed through delivered architecture. This session offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the new technology that Oracle Campus Solutions is using to meet your institution's unique business needs. - Overview of integration at Pretoria University
